Post Parasite-Digital Matte Painting

A school matte painting assignment,requiring me to transform a given city landscape into a wild scenario.For my work,I have chosen to transform this city into a post zombie apocalyptic wasteland. In the near future,a virus outbreak has forced the population of many cities to abandon their city due to the patients of said virus showing symptoms of heightened aggression and displaying cannibalistic behavior.In the early days,many warnings were put out to the public,advising them to be more vigilant but most just dismissed the idea of such an absurd virus existing.When the first infected patients spread to the main public,a huge quarantine effort was placed into the city,military officials deploying many soldiers to kill and put down all infected by any means necessary.That did not turn out too well however as the front liners themselves were overrun and infected.The quarantine effort failed and now,the city is nothing but a cold and lifeless nest for the infected.
